Explanation
•Dry cough and hypotension are the most common side effects associated with ACE inhibitors such as lisinopril. Many patients cannot tolerate the dry cough and must be switched to an angiotension II receptor blocker (ARB) for the management of congestive heart failure.
•Dry eyes, confusion, and weight gain are not associated with the use of ACE inhibitors.
